Shield by U.S. Pave™ Retail Version · The Parking Lot Protection Program
Every walk path on your lot, measured every quarter
Shield scans your parking lot, storefront walks, curb ramps and covered walkways four times a year, or every month. Every lifted edge, hole and low spot over the threshold is photographed, measured, graded and priced, and you decide what gets fixed.

What we scan
Walk paths first, then the whole lot
Most parking-lot falls happen where people walk: from the stall to the door. Shield measures those routes first, then the rest of the pavement.
Measured to 1/8 in, and to 1/16 in on a close pass. Slopes on ramps and accessible routes are given in percent; we report the numbers and never certify ADA compliance.
Where people walk
- Storefront walks and covered walkways
- Curb ramps, crosswalks and the gutter lip between them
- Accessible stalls, aisles and routes
- The aisles from the stalls to the doors
- Old sign-post holes, grates, wheel stops
The rest of the pavement
- Cracks, potholes and sunken patches
- Low spots that hold water, and where water goes
- Worn striping and markings
- Wear and remaining life, scan to scan
- Sealcoat and restriping timing
After every scan
A priced report, graded so you know what comes first
- Every item photographed, measured and priced from your member price list
- A proposal line for each item U.S. Pave can repair
- An Immediate Notice by phone and in writing the same morning for anything over the immediate threshold on a walk path
- Your Shield page: a fly-through video and a 3-D map you can zoom into

You decide every item
Three choices, in writing
We never take over your property or close anything without your written OK.
U.S. Pave repairs it
At your member price, with a warranty on our work.
Until it's fixed
Cones, barricade tape and signs, included in your program fee. You set the fix-by date.
Your written reason
We re-measure it on the next scan and keep it on your record.
Up to par in three scans
The first scan finds everything and sets the plan. The second checks the repairs and catches what changed. By the third, the lot is at par, and small, predictable work keeps it there. No surprise big bills.
Your record
Every scan, decision and repair is dated and kept for 10 years, and every spot is compared scan to scan.
What the work looks like
Small repairs, made right
Every repair we make is measured again on the next scan, so your record shows the before, the after and the date.

The sign and the report page
Anyone on your lot can send you a photo
Once your lot is up to par, Shield signs go where you approve them. Shoppers and staff scan the code to send a photo and the location of a problem. It goes to your property manager and into your record, and the next scan checks it.
The sign states a fact: "This parking area is scanned quarterly." It never promises anything to the public.
Built by U.S. Pave
Our own scanning system
Shield runs on scanning equipment and software we designed, built and programmed ourselves. A drone scans the open lot from above, and we scan the storefront walks, curb ramps and covered walkways on the ground. Everything comes together in one measured 3-D model, one report and one proposal.
- Proprietary. Our equipment, our software and our data. You can't buy Shield from anyone else.
- Programmed with what we know. Every scan is read against Kyle, U.S. Pave's record of every condition we've found since 2012, and the conditions behind the Florida lawsuits we've studied.
- Sharper with every scan. Each scan, measurement and repair goes back into the system.
- Checked by a person. Every condition over the threshold is confirmed by a technician before it's priced.

On the ground
Our ground scanner covers the storefront walks, curb ramps and covered walkways the drone can't see.

From above
Our drone rig scans the open lot in tight lines, with every photo pinned to its spot on the map.

Pricing
Priced for your lot, after we talk
Every plan is one monthly payment. The price comes from the plan you pick and the size of your lot: the open area, the walkways and the covered walkways we scan.
We measure your lot on the aerial, talk through what you need, and then send a written quote with the agreement.
What goes into the price
- Each scan: the crew, the drone and the ground scanner on site
- Open area: stalls, drive lanes, fire lanes, sidewalks, plazas, ramps, crosswalks and accessible stalls
- Covered walkways: canopies, porte-cocheres, arcades and breezeways, scanned on the ground
- Your plan: Shield Scan, Shield Plus or Shield Premier
- Roofs and landscaping don't count.
