We then take this asphalt material offsite to be recycled for other projects. Prior to any overlay, U.S. Pave Austin will complete any necessary repairs found beneath the ground-up area. This is an important step frequently skipped by other contractors. Proper repairs are necessary to ensure the new installation bonds properly. Any improperly repaired areas can erode the base beneath the pavement. This erosion may cause your overlay to fail.
The remaining asphalt is washed and painted with a bonding coat. This improves the adhesion between the existing pavement and the new application. We then roll the new material over the existing layer, resulting in a strongly bonded surface.
